SUMMER SCHEME
About Summer Scheme
Our Community Summer Scheme was developed in consultation with the local community during which a clear need for summer provision in the local area was identified.
The first Summer Scheme was run as a pilot scheme supported by Belfast City Council in 2013. From 2014 on the scheme has
been funded through a grant from Belfast City Council and the fees charged to those attending.

Each year the success of our Summer Scheme relies on the fantastic team of volunteers who help to make the scheme happen.

Summer Scheme Core Outcomes
There are five outcomes for the young people attending our summer scheme that shape all the programs and activities we offer. They are;
1: Increase the Social Interaction and Participation of the young people attending.

2: Teach the young people attending new skills and allow them to access opportunities they may not normally be able to access.

3: Provide a safe environment for young people to attend.

4: Provide an environment that encourages young people to develop their interpersonal skills and make new friends.

5: To provide a much needed service to the local community.
